  1. What is the Seychelles Made certification?

    The Seychelles Made certification is a national recognition issued by the Enterprise Seychelles Agency to products that are made, produced, or significantly processed in Seychelles and meet the prescribed eligibility criteria.

  2. Who can apply for Seychelles Made certification?

    Any individual or business that makes, produces, processes, or manufactures a product in Seychelles may apply for certification, provided that the product meets the required criteria.

  3. What are the eligibility criteria for certification?

    A product must satisfy at least one of the following:

    • At least 50% of the total cost of production is incurred in Seychelles; or
    • The product undergoes substantial transformation in Seychelles, resulting in a new or distinct product or a change in tariff classification.
  4. What documents are required for the application?

    Applicants must submit:

    • Proof of identity (NIN)
    • Business or company registration certificate
    • Tax Identification Number (TIN) certificate
    • Business license (where applicable)
    • Existing Seychelles Made certificate (for renewals or new product applications, where applicable)
  5. Is there an application fee?

    Yes. The application fee is SCR 100 per product or SCR 1500 for 15 or more products.

    Note: No application fee for the first three (3) years from the date of launch of the Seychelles Made Brand - application fee is waivered for applications made between 29th June 2026 to 28th June 2029.

  6. How long is the Seychelles Made certificate valid?

    A Seychelles Made certificate is valid for a period of three (3) years from the date of issue and may be renewed upon application.

  7. Does submitting an application guarantee certification?

    No. All applications are subject to evaluation, inspection, and approval. Certification is only granted if the product meets the prescribed criteria.

  8. Will my business be inspected?

    Yes. The Enterprise Seychelles Agency or its authorized representatives shall conduct site visits and inspections to verify the information provided in your application and to ensure that your products comply with the Seychelles Made certification criteria.

    Inspections may be carried out during the application process and periodically after certification, as determined by the Agency, to ensure continued compliance with the certification requirements.

  9. Can I apply for more than one product?

    Yes. Applicants may submit multiple products under one application. Each product will be assessed individually against the certification criteria.

  10. What happens if my application is incomplete?

    Incomplete applications or applications submitted without the required documents or fees may not be processed until all required information is provided.

  11. Can my application be rejected?

    Yes. An application may be rejected if the product does not meet the eligibility criteria or if insufficient or incorrect information is provided.

    Reasons for rejection will be communicated to the applicant.

  12. What are my obligations after certification?

    Certified businesses must:

    • Use the Seychelles Made logo strictly in accordance with the Seychelles Made Act, and its subsequent regulations as well as the accompanying Code of Practice and Brand Book (Brand Guidelines).
    • Ensure that certified products continue to meet the prescribed Seychelles Made criteria at all times.
    • Inform the Enterprise Seychelles Agency of any material changes to production processes, sourcing of inputs, or any other circumstances that may affect product composition.
    • Cooperate with the Agency in relation to inspections, monitoring, or compliance checks as may be required.
  13. Where can I find the Code of Practice?

    The Seychelles Made Code of Practice is published by the Enterprise Seychelles Agency and may be accessed on the Agency’s official website and on the Seychelles Made website.

    The Code of Practice provides guidance to certificate holders on their rights and obligations, including the proper use of the Seychelles Made logo.

  14. What happens if I provide false information?

    Providing false or misleading information may result in rejection of the application, cancellation of the certificate, and possible legal action.

  15. Can I appeal a decision?

    Yes. An applicant who is aggrieved by a decision may appeal to the Fair Trading Tribunal.

  16. Will my information be kept confidential?

    Yes. Information provided will be treated as confidential and used only for the purpose of processing the application, except where disclosure is required by law.

  17. How long does it take to process a Seychelles Made application?

    The processing time for a Seychelles Made application may vary depending on the completeness of the application, the type of product being assessed, the need for site inspections, and the volume of applications being processed at the time. On average, Seychelles Made applications are expected to be processed within ( days) from the date all required information and supporting documentation have been submitted.
